Default Side mirror rebuild HELP

I recently clipped a bin and broke both the mirror glass and frame aswell as breaking the mirror aiming gearbox in half. The actual mirror body and all wire connections arent damaged.
After a quick talk with a shop they thought the easiest thing to do would be replace the enteir side mirror.
Would it be possible to replace the mirror glass, glass frame, and gearbox?

the gearbox broke where the two halfs are secured together, I still have all the motors and gears

broken glass and glass frame

If this is something that cant be rebuilt, can a whole side mirror off another color car be repainted? After a quick search its hard to find mercury metallic passenger side mirrors on ebay

I actually went and got a pair of facelift mirrors from a 2008 GS350 with the indicators. Feed a wire through the inner guard to the side panel indicator and all good.
Way better looking mirror as well. Bonus was they are silver to match the car. Will try to get a pic tmrw.
Otherwise to answer your question you can pretty much pull the entire mirror down to the motors ( keep them incase you ever have a failure.) and replace what you need to.
