No audio/intermittent audio 2007 gs350

No audio/intermittent audio 2007 gs350
Started my car today with no audio no matter what radio station I select. A couple hours later everything was working fine. Now again no audio besides a beep when pressing the volume **** to turn audio on/off. Any ideas?

Check your trunk area, see if your amplifier shows signs of being wet in the past (or now). There are (or maybe in your case were) two flapper type vents in the trunk wells, and the flaps seem to rot and fall out over time, allowing water to come up into the trunk wells, which makes the amplifier (and any other electronics) kind of mad. Replacement vents are about $30-40. Should be part number 62930-12161, same part for left and right sides.
