Hi all,

So I've bought a 2007 GS450h 6 months ago and so far it never beeped when I either lock or unlock the doors (handle lock or fob lock). But it does beeps when I long press fob or handle button to close all the windows.

And it does beeps when I leave door open when I try to lock the car. So I assume that piezo/beeper is alright. Unless there is more than 1 for this purpose.

I searched for Custom Settings in TechStream to enable this beep but couldn't find anything similar.

Can someone advice on this?

I remember seeing the option when I was messing with Techstream with my 2006 GS430 a while back, but I can't remember the exact steps. I did come across this. It is for a Prius but it should be very similar.

 

the lock/unlock beep is an option that you can turn off and on. I can't remember if its a setting in the car, or one you can only adjust with the techstream in this gen. previous owner probably turned it off.

UPDATE: just looked at my car- there is a setting under ‘general settings’ to turn the beep off and on. My car is a 2010.
