Default High mileage GS

What are some high mileage amounts that you've heard of this generation GS? Anything above 250k and running strong? Concerned about engine longevity with the direct injection.

I believe none of the engines on the GS just have direct injection
They have both port and direct injection
Shouldn't be any problems with carbon buildup

Mine's a 2006 GS300 RWD with 260000km. And burns oil likely due to carbon build-up. Direct Injection only I believe.

I'm not worried about carbon buildup. I get that they have both direct and port injection. My concern is engine longevity due to the added strain associated with DI.

I cant comment on 250k, but Im at almost 200k and aslong as you replace the water pump, change the oil every 3-4,000 miles, and other regular items these cars are solid, 2007-up GS350's ive seen a few at the 300k miles, pretty sure there gotta be some 400k runners by now.

2006 GS300 was direct-injection only and prone to carbon issues at higher mileage, 2007+GS350 has both direct and port injection helping to alleviate the carbon buildup.

No issues re: "strain".

More things to fail - yes.

More problematic overall - not really. If anything, the port (!) injectors tend to clog up on some models (hybrids)...

well mines is over 235,000 miles and I believe if you keep the maintenance up and watch out for that nasty timing cover oil leak they are pretty awesome. Did updrades: Amsoil engine oil/front diff/rear diff/ATF all from this company should boost ride and performance quality. I also installed x2 oil catch cams on mines. Oh make sure to use fuel system cleaner once a month to help with direct injection and that fuel pump thats on the crankcase. ✌🏽
