Default What’s the Front Brake kit combination

I’m looking to change my front brake rotors with pads , so I’m looking at the oem rotors and pads around $314 buying it from Lexus dealer, looking also at Tire rack for centric high carbon plain cryo treated $125each and akebono performance pads for $63 so total of $337 after tax, so my question is which overall good performance and long lasting and good smooth braking also I’m looking for no rusting around the rotors ring since it’s bothering me, which one would you go for oif you were me ? And if there’s any other combination I’m not aware of please share it ! Thanks everyone

I have the centric rotors and akebono pads, and they are great. The akebono people claim are the oem toyota. So its whatever you can find the best deal on.

There is a lexus seller on ebay in AZ that sells combo brake kits

Are the centric rotors cryo won’t rust in the future as they claim since they’re coated ? Because I heard the oem they do rust and they look so bad after just fee month of regular wear !!! Do you know which akebono to get the “proact”or the “performance” one ? Thanks bud

Akebono ACT1118 proact, these are the ones I used, as they are the closes to oem, btw mine is an AWD but pads are the same. Honestly I just purchased the budget centric, I do not remember if they are coated or not.

If you can find oem for cheaper, I would go for oem, just verify that the pads are dustless

Like I said I would go for the lowest prices, as both are good quality, both will give you the same performance. If the price isnt an issue, I would go with oem. There was one member who mentioned he had an issue with his centric rotors, he claims they warped on him. I never had that issue.
