Steering issue!
Hey guys, I have an 06’ GS430 with just under 100k miles and my power steering quit. After noticing a loud carving sound when turning the wheel left and right, I parked it and started to try researching before doing anything. I came across some posts about 3rd gen 300 models having a recall for the entire rack to be replaced however after searching my VIN nothing comes up. I tried moving the car in my driveway and now the wheel won’t turn at all. I do not have any lights on. I went ahead and ordered a used rack off of eBay but I can’t come across any DIYs. Hopefully it’s straightforward….Anyone know of a DIY, video, tips, advice, thoughts? I literally bought this car for reliability bc I collect and build BMWs on the side but I’ve had more problems with this than my 20 year old M5 lol
