Planning to buy a GS 350 2012 - 2015(US Import) in UAE
Hey there folks ,
Good Day !|
I'm planning to buy a lexus gs 350 (2012 - 2015) US import in United Arab Emirates. I'd like to know what all are the common pitfalls that i should be in the look out before i get one .
I do know the fact that most of the US imports are either major/minor accidents or flood writeoff's and i need to get them checked properly before i buy one.
However, one of my friends recently told me that not all parts that are used in the US import are avaliable in the U.A.E market. Did anyone out here experience this ever ?
What else should i be knowing about before buying one ?

The best way to check to see if its ever been in an accident is to run a carfax or autocheck on the vin/chassis number. Another way that may tell you is to simply google the vin number, sometimes you will see the cars accident auction photos.
US vs middle east certain parts may differ, but your local toyota dealer can still order those parts for you. I would check with your local dealer if the service department will work on the car, some do, some dont.
This forum you posted on is for 2006-2011 3GS, you will want to post on the 4GS for common issues. But the 3GS and 4GS share a lot in common so more likely they are very reliable cars. If parts do break down, they dont cost a ton unlike german cars.
