Default Installing Spacers

I have the 4GS F-Sport rims (staggered) on my car but the rear wheels stick in too much. Is this where the wheel spacers come in? I've never installed spacers on any cars I've owned so this will be the first. What are the cons of using them? and is it plug and play or do I need to buy some extended wheel bolts? I'm on stock suspensions if that makes any difference.

Wheel spacers will make your wheels stick out even further, they put a metal shim in between the wheel and against the brake rotor to widen the track. If your wheels stick out too far, then you will need another set of wheels with different offest.

He’s saying they’re sticking IN too far, so yes, spacers are the answer.
Basically you need to determine what size spacer you need as step 1, try measuring from the whee the wheel currently sits, to where you think it should sit, if that makes sense. But you’ll need a mm tape measure to do this, as spacers are usually sold in mm, unless they’re really far in.

I dont like spacers, especially the kind that have adapter lugs on them, as they like to shake and vibrate. If you can get away with 10-20 mm thin spacer and still keep the oem studs thats probably your best way. If you do go thicker, I would buy longer wheel studs and replace them all. As for spacers look for hubcentric spacers, these are sized specific to your car. What they do is center the spacer and the wheels to avoid vibrations.

Yeah I'm leaning towards 20mm or should I do 15mm?, and will keep hubcentric spacers in mind! Do you guys think I should get only rear spacers or front and rear? OEM is +45 for all 4 wheels but the 4GS FSport rims are +45 front and +60 rear . So if I'm adding 20mm to the rear then it would be -5 offset right? Is that how it works? anyway would that be bad or should I get go lower and match the OE specs(45) ?

Sorry to hijack your thread but I needed 3mm spacers to fit my winter wheels and the place I usually go to said certain Lexus like my GS were iffy because they don't give that much thread to begin with and I was only able to get 3mm for the minimum requirement for thread engagement. They mentioned that if I have gotten any bigger that I would have to extended lug nuts.

How do people on here have spacers bigger than 3mm, I would like to go at least 5mm because it barely scrapes the front calipers on certain angles.
