Default Power Lock and Keyless entry are now t working

Hello all, a series of unfortunate events happened to my 06 gs300. Started with losing the power steering. Found the blown fuse and changed it. The new on got blown right away. A bigger fuse got the p/s to work but many things stopped working including the power lock and the keyless entry. Took the car to a service center, they found out that the wiring harness behind the dashboard is all burnt. They changed it and everything worked except for the power lock and the keyless entry.

they said that the steering lock actuator is bad and needs changing. I got them a used one, they say they failed to program it! Is there a way to fix this issue??

Hi Sky89line, thanks for your reply. This is what I exactly got. I was told that the new module needs programming. The service center was not able to run this programming.

They said that the car doesn’t start when fitting the new module. I do not understand why!!

I have tried to program it but it didn't work out with me. So It's better to replace it with the old model you have. I think it has to do with the car security and keyless entry.

This is what they did. The old part is now fitted. But again, the keyless entry and the remote control are not working! So annoying

I’m not sure how is the steering module related to the door lock system!

Go to any car shop and ask them to do key programming. It's not that hard just connect obd2 and go to immobilizer function.
