2006 GS430 ECM Issue
I have a 2006 GS430 that SIA just completed a repair for the trans portion of the ECM. Upon re-installation the car will not start. I have done the immobilizer trick, I've had a lock smith check the keys, I sent it back to SIA and they said all the CAN was communicating on their end, and my local Lexus buddy said he couldn't figure it out either.
At this point I'm looking for another ECM to try and reprogram to this car to see if that clears it up.
I'm looking for any suggestions on what to do with the current ECM, or if anyone can help with finding a used/ reman unit that isn't absurdly expensive.
*I do have a decent mechanical background and have built plenty of vehicles if that helps with wording

Does any electronics work at all in the interior? Did you test battery voltage to make sure, and also check the terminals to make sure there nice and tight?
Make sure the key fob works in that the tiny red light turns on when you press a button. Then unlock the car with the remote and enter and foot on the brake when you try to start it, does the starter button light up red or green? If red the key is not detected, you can try pushing the button with the key fob itself, theres a chip inside incase the battery fails the car will still turn on by pressing the fob against the button.
If that doesnt work, jack the car up on jack stands. Crawl under with a 12v light tester, test the main lead on the starter, it should have constant 12v power. Next test the starter signal lead wire, its the tiny wire next to the big 12v, with someone in the driver seats with the key fob at hand, have them try to start the car while you test that little lead wire. You should have 12v light it, if it does light up then starter is bad or has a bad ground. If its doesnt light up then your signal wire has issue, maybe its security, or something unplugged. Atleast this will give you an understanding of whats not kicking the engine over.

I know this will, but not to sound daft, is there a fuse that could be checked first, tied up with this lot. Just the amount of wasted hours I have spent doing hard and unnecessary crap only to figure out later it was a fuse... It's worth the 5 secs it takes to look over a fuse box if there is such a fuse for this.
