Question Oil level light is on

i did an oil change 1500 miles ago. Everytime im on the highway it keeps flashing on me. Should i reset the oil light? or could there actually be something on its way and the car is giving me a warning about it? that light is pissing me off

First thing I would do before starting the car is to check the oil level. If its oil level light thats flashing then you have an issue, that you cant reset. If that mechanic left something loose, and you are spewing out oil, then you will destroy the engine.

If its just the oil change reminder then thats easily reset, there are instruction on youtube, just search for "GS350 oil light reset"

Not sure but worth rattling a few ideas for fun... Toyota used to combine the handbrake indicator on the dash with oil level in the brake reservoir so it would come on if low, doubtful Lexus would do this and if it's off and on it's more likely to do that when cornering, but just trying to thrash out ideas to solve the prob. If it's an oil pressure light you REALLY need to not be driving it until you figure that out in my opinion... That could be extremely serious. What does a diag show you about sensor health, and it could be as simple as a terminal rattling off/not on properly. I haven't had this Lexus for long enough to do an oil change yet, but do thet have a sensor on the drain plug like some cars? If the problem started when you changed the oil and they do, I'd be heading straight to the bung Anyway, potentially useless, but maybe it starts some ideas or discussion up.
