This car is a beautiful piece of machinery. Mine has a few scratces, dents, and imperfections, as I am the third owner. However, I was made unaware that my car featured folding mirrors! When I press the folding mirrors button, the mirrors make this awful buzzing sound. The car is basically crying. Does anyone know how to fix it or atleast link me to a video that will help?

 

Gears are more likely stripped out, and you will need new mirrors. Some forum members awhile back found someone to make new internal gears. But other then that you can looks on ebay or www.car-parts.com and by a used pair. This is why I dont use my folding mirrors often, and yearly I spray some white lithium lube.

Also the same for the auto tilt in the mirrors when you put the car in reverse. Those have a tendency to strip out aswell, theres a trick to turn that off on the lower dash drop menu, the left and right long strip selector you can just simply press in the middle and it shut off the auto mirror tilt. When those go out, and everytime you put the car in reverse you will hear a crackling grinding noise if the gears go bad.

I wonder if its easy to make a set of harder gears with 3d printer, shouldnt be that difficult to copy
