2008 Lexus gs460
My Lexus will not crank, it goes threw completed check , but all dash info stays on and it turns from yellow to green has if the computer thinks its running, but all check engine dash lights stay on and wont go off, its in fail safe mode, giving codes, vgrs & vsc
Have you tested the battery voltage or tried jump starting it? It could be the battery is so drained that the starter wont click on. If it isnt the battery then maybe your starter went bad.
Both batteries are new and were tested one bought January, the other bought in july of this year, has a new starter also. Any other suggestions, i had it towed to the nearest dealership that would diagnose it and that was Dodge, but they could diagnose only so much, they said it was in fail safe mode, vgrs & vsc, for the vsc we've already replaced the battery for it, so I dont know why its showing the vehicle stability control
When you say it has a new starter did you test the positive leads to make sure its getting power, and also did you test the trigger signal on the starter? If your not getting power to the starter then there are other things you can check but if the cars not cranking over that would be the first thing I would test.

Test it yourself with a test light, have someone press the starter button with you under the car and with a test light test the signal wire to make sure that little wire is getting a crank power. Aswell as that big lug is getting constant power. If that signal wire is getting power, then the starter you installed is faulty. If youre not getting power to the signal wire then maybe the wire is got disconnected or starter relay could be bad.
But to be clear the issue with the car is that it doesnt not crank over at all?
