Not to be a smart *** or anything, but you mentioned the battery died of a bad alternator, you then replaced the alternator, but what did you do about the dead battery?
You say there is power, did you replace the battery, did you charge it, or at the very least try using jumper cables to start it? If not, well, you see what I'm getting at.
If the battery was left in the same rundown condition, it might appear as though power is present because the interior accessories seem to work, but don't be fooled, if the battery is weak and you push the start button, guess what, nothing is going to happen.

Here is a quick and simple thing to try just in case your key fob may be malfunctioning.

Hold the Lexus logo side of the key fob up close and tight to your cars start/stop button and then try pushing the start button.
