Pairing iphone 8 with bluetooth

Recently I replaced my iphone 7 with an iphone 8. The iphone 7 paired well with my car , 2007 GS350, for making hands free phone calls. The iphone 8 does not recognize the car when I go through the pairing procedure. It connects to other vehicles fine but not the Lexus. I'm guessing the Iphone 8 has a more advanced version of bluetooth that may be causing the issue.

Have others encountered the same issue and come across a solution that gives high quality hands free calling? Perhaps something in the phone settings or a 3rd party app that allows the connectivity?

Thanks,
Frank

I have an '07 GS 350 as well and an iPhone X as well as an iPhone Xs Max. I do not have issues connecting to bluetooth with either. Have you deleted the old iPhone 7 from the Lexus and attempting to setup a new phone in the infotainment settings before attempting to connect? This will first set a connection between your vehicle and phone. After the initial pairing with the passcode, your iPhone should auto-connect/disconnect moving forward.

Thanks for the response. I removed the 2 previous phones from the memory (apparently you can register 6) and no difference.

Reset to default settings and now it worked. I'm paired again!

Thanks
