Drove my 06 GS430 yesterday and nearly got into an accident because all these light came on and my car basically just went limp and i could barely stop it. Turns out only issue was the brake fluid was at the minimum level in the reservoir. Topped it up and now its perfect. Is it normal for these cars to do that if the brake fluid isnt even low just needing a top off? Seems pretty unsafe to just go limp like that in rush hour. Is there something else that could be failing that brake fluid being a little low like that?
May have to do with the brake master cylinder ? I know that V8 models and hybrid GSs have a different system from the V6 models that provides “better” braking, but have some cases of documented failure
Yuck, is there a way to know if it is dying on me?
On our LS460 they run an identical system, when the brakes went out they would make a clicking sound, eventually the motor overheated and 90% weakend the brakes and pedal was super hard to press.
If only they ran the GS350 style which is totally different and reliable system
