Default Goodbye

Well guys it truly has been a pleasure learning and picking your brains here on this forum. I truly believe this is the best forums on the web. Unfortunately I traded in the 460 last night for a 2014 Durango RT. I never thought I would get rid of the 460 and would have loved to keep it for the rest of its life but I had to make a family decision. I need an suv due to having a growing family and as much as it sucks I could not afford 2 car payments. The 460 was the best car I ever owned and I truly will miss it. Especially since I probably will never see one again lol. It has 123k miles and was everything I expected it to be. I think I also got a little bored with the car and not being able to do any mods or tuning to it. I will still linger on here as I love to continue to learn. Here is a last pic of my baby. She treated me real good. As for the Durango? Man I really had a tough time deciding what suv to get especially at at 25k budget so I narrowed it down to a 2011-2013 qx56, 2014- Durango RT and 2010-2013 Lexus GX460. I test drive all and although I liked the qx the timing chain issue they suffer from kept me away. The GX460 was a nice suv and drove so smooth and I’m sure would have been a great option but it was just so slow and the front end is hideous. If I could have afforded the 2014 I would have probably stayed with lexus but they were not in my price range unfortunately. Also I needed a fun car to drive coming from the 460. Also I probably would never use it’s off road capability. So the Durango after 2 test drives was the clear winner. Aggressive all around looks, great technology and entertainment system(tvs). It drives like a car and feels so planted, and man when you hit the gas the Hemi really screams. Yes not as refined as any lexus but very comfortable and third row seats are pretty spacious. Most importantly it’s easy to mod and tune! Have done some research on some cheap mods that will wake the Hemi up even more. It’s bitter sweet as I always said I would keep the 460 forever but lexus definitely has won me over and I will be back next year when my wife starts to work again. The Durango will be her car and I will be in the market for an isf! It’s what I truly wanted anyway! Gs460 was just too slow for my taste and not being able to mod ultimately killed it for me. Isf on the other hand should be a blast to drive and mod. Thanks for all the help!

Congrats, families are the engines that run our lives. Without them are own lives feel less fulfilling.

I have personal connections to this.
We bought a MB ML500 years ago. Fast forward to present. Our lifestyle changed and we did a 180. We sold the SUV and bought a GS460. Absolutely love the car

Good Luck
