Default Programming a smart key

Can a key fob previously programmed for a Lexus RX 350 be reprogrammed for a different RX 350?

Welcome to the forums! I believe it can, however, you will need to contact your local dealer or locksmith as it requires the use of a TechStream tool.

Supposedly only a brand new virgin key can be added to your car ecu system.

To add a previously paired key from another vehicle requires all the codes to be erased and reset one by one. Most dealers dont want to do this reset and some locksmiths who can get the special code to do the reset can do it.

I purchased a key fob from the bay and took it to my local dealer. They were hesitant on doing it initially but did it for either $35 or $50.
