Freeplay in front axle gs300
Hello everyone, when test driving this car I had a noise in front left side, sounded like balljoint noise(knock a few times when going over bumps.)
But when I took it apart, I found lower balljoint to be in good condition, but struts, sway bar bushings are bad, and my left axle has freeplay going in and out of the transfer case, and makes a metal on metal contact, so Im thinking it might;ve been making that noise.
I don't think it's a problem with the transfer case because I looked in there while pulling on the axle and it's just the axle sliding in an out, gonna hope a new stopper ring fixes it but I wanted to see if anybody had something to suggest.
thanks.

Will do. ANd I don't think this axle will have any freeplay after everything is assembled. I'll just have to see.
do the people here know about toyo diy parts catalogue?? I'm pretty sure you can get the number for any little seal or gasket. http://www.toyo diy.com/parts/g_U_2006_LEXUS_GS+SERIES_GRS190L-BETQHA_1.html

Ive had a upper control arm ball joint go out on me. It made a clicking sound when I turn the wheel and also there was play in the wheel.
$14 bucks on rockauto moog brand, removed the old control arm and with a press you press out the old and press the new in.
