Default Help please. Crankshaft position sensor....

Check engine light and VSC light have been on since I replaced my spark plugs. Had a shop pull codes and they're saying it's "Camshaft position sensor Bank 2 sensor A"

The tech works for a customer of mine so he was just doing me a favor to see if we could figure out why the CEL is on. He is not a Lexus tech. Cars runs/acts fine. I thought I had missed putting back a connection (lots of disconnections to replace plugs). Scanner says the sensor is "reading" and working, but failing. However, after googling, etc...we cannot tell exactly where this location is on the actual engine. Can anyone list a picture pointing it out for me????

Is it the cam or crank sensor? Assuming its cams because those are the closest to the sparkplugs. I would go back and go through your work, each and every plug you pulled out inspect the wiring inside to make sure the terminals are good and didnt pull out internally. Also make sure theres no moisture and that the rubber seals are intact in the plug. Apply a tiny amount of dielectric grease on all the plugs.

i had the exact same problem once.

I just reset the code and it went away. Same deal as you also. Did you try attempting this first?

Mine's is a GS430 though. I believe it was because I double tapped the battery by mistake while i was reinstalling the battery (I disconnect batteries as good faith while working under the hood so I don't mess anything up).

I didn't expect it to spark (I have aftermarket peripherals) and the jolt scared me and made me double tap the battery terminals.

Being you said its bank 2 sensor A ( drivers side, intake cam sensor ) by the oil fill cap near front of engine. I've seen the wires be pulled out slightly due to the wire harness being to tight and constantly pulling the wire/s out from the connector. They may look good until you reinstall the connector and as you push it in to lock the connector the pin pushes out the back ( but still looks good and could be barely touching ). Normally happens when doing a spark plug change as these are disconnected to give more room to remove ignition coils.
