Default How much?!

Just got back from the Toyota dealer.
Wanted to get some service done to my gs350.
All I wanted was the spark plugs replaced(I supplied)
and the writer says it’ll be almost $300 JUST FOR THAT
I almost told him to kiss my asterisk, but was calm and just asked for my car back.
Just how difficult is it to replaced the plugs in this car?

I mean at dealer rates that’s around 2 hours? Doesn’t seem unreasonable, it’s not like $300 is a kings ransom. I’m surprised they are willing to accept your parts. That being said DIY is very simple, remove the air intake tube for the passenger side, and push a wiring harness aside for a drivers side. Can do the entire job with a 10/12mm socket, an extension, and spark plug socket.

Pretty easy. Remove engine cover, remove air intake hose, remove coil packs, remove spark plugs. About a 30min job.

Super easy go for it, while your at it you can clean the throttle body as its easy to access while doing the plugs.

Change the PCV while you're at it.

RXGS is right, that's about average rate.... Just know that you can always haggle with them about service.

Lexus dealer wanted $400 here.
Plugs on Rockauto, about $70 bucks (don't buy cheap ones, there are fakes around).

It is relatively easy. There are some Vids on YT for this car. I like using a Torque wrench, I believe it is around 17 ft/lbs or so (double check that).

$300 sounds like a lot, but if you don't know what you are doing it could be much more expensive .

Wow, I only paid like $230 at Lexus for my 460 to get them done, and I didn't supply the plugs either.
