The owners manual says there should be a compass in the mirror. My mirror don't have it, has the 3 homelink buttons and an I - O. Held down both buttons for 3 secs. I know the windshield was replaced. Maybe it is an aftermarket mirror? The plug looks factory though. I don't see where the Compass LCD would be, unless it is behind the glass somehow.
Lexus changed the rearview mirror around 2009-2010 to the newer style. I believe the compass during the final years of production only comes on a non-navigation GS.

I have an 11. this makes sense. I've put those mirrors in other cars and they have tons of variations. There are two companies that make them, Gentex and Donnely (may have merged). Years ago one leaked on me, old tech. The OEM actually sent me a replacement, it had a temperature readout.
I kinda miss the compass .The owners manual shows a button config like mine and says it could be activated.
Mine is very identical this this one and seems to have a compass:
My 2006 GS300 mirror doesn't have a compass. Well, let me take that back . . . . it doesn't come on. In the dark when I turn on the car I can see the compass light up very dimly, then it goes dark.
Is this repairable or am I looking a $300+ for another one?
