Hey everybody, I just wanted to find out if an Invidia Mid Pipe + Muffler Delete or an Invidia Mid Pipe + Magnaflow 14829 on a 2006 GS430 will be too loud and if the drone will be obnoxious? Also, does the Invidia Mid pipe increase HP or is it just for sound? Looking for an exhaust alternative. Thanks!
The sound is very tame. From outside it's almost nonexistant if you're driving next to me (if i punch it it's a different story).
Also, if you press moderately on the gas, it will make a noise.
Here's a video of me just slightly hitting it to pick up on speed (as you can hear a slight growl), and i'll hit it halfway through to show you what it sounds like under WOT.
Invidia Mid Pipe + Magnaflow 14829 on a 2006 GS430 will be (edit) PERFECT
My suggestion is NOT to do the Muffler Delete but to go with the Mid Pipe and the Magnaflow. I also had an 06 GS430 and I tried the straight pipes, no resonator, and I think (its been a while) no secondary cat. It was too much for a daily driver IMO. I had mid pipes that made it a true dual exhaust and it went into Magnaflow mufflers. I would think you might even find a pic I uploaded of the install while the car was on a lift. Probably a few videos as well.
Minimal HP gains, nothing you will notice. But the sound is worth it

At idle or cruising, you can BARELY tell the difference. It's apparent compared to stock, but it's still not too bad.
I get very minimal drone driving normally... No rasp at all. Wife is happy, as it doesn't make her want to tear her hair out.
Thanks for the video, your car sounds great! I wanted this exact same setup but, I've searched online and it looks like they don't sell the top speed exhaust anymore for our 3gs . Glad that there is very minimal drone.
The topspeed exhaust (on my GS430 anyway) was really really quiet. Almost stock because it was so quiet. Midpipes made it a lot better though. I would do midpipes first, then the exhaust later.

Thanks for the tips and advice! If I can't find a top speed exhaust, then I think I would go with the magnaflow and mid pipe setup. Do you know what model # magnaflow mufflers you had? I'll see if I can find your previous posts.
