Default Heated Seats

I've owned a bunch of cars with heated seats, and installed some into cars that didn't have them.
The heated seats on this car are mediocre at best, I would call them warmers. In some cars the elements sit directly under the leather, other sit under the foam. That could make a big difference.

Agree. The GS seat heaters are a joke. I even had the dealer check them during one of the services, they told me everything was within specs.

I think these were made around the time of the heated seat lawsuits. I had a 95 Lincoln continental that would get fire HOT in seconds. Had 5 positions. The secret? Very thin (40ga) wires taped to the backside of the leather skin. They would burn out though. I replaced them with the carbon fiber, not nearly as good (but better than the GS).

My neighbor has a new Explorer with heated and cooled seats, he said his are the same way.

My fiancee's '14 Cayenne's is just as weak as my '08 460's, same goes for my mom's '14 RX350. I rarely use mine, so it's whatever for me; however, the cooling is HORRIBLE, which I use all the time.

They are pretty weak, but I have a feeling they "wear out" with time.

With my GS350, my Camry and my old ES330, every time I'd sit in the passenger seat it would warm up much more than the driver's side, perhaps because its less used.

Try it in your car and let us know...
