Default Toyota/lexus tech - techstream knowledge

Any toyota techs that can help answer a question about a setting in tech stream. I have an 06 GS 300 and am trying to adjust the headlights to come on sooner at dusk and dawn. Essentially it has to be very dark for them to come on. I have messed with all the settings and can't seem to make a difference. It seems like light 2 would be the correct setting. Can anyone confirm and does it even make that much of a difference? Thanks!!

I haven't played with these settings on my GS with techstream because I don't use the automatic function. However, can you verify that's the correct menu for the headlight auto-sensitivity?

The instrument panel itself dims when you go under bridges. It also tints if the sun is shining directly on to it. So I wonder if that's what those settings are for, or is it for "disp ex off sen" and "disp ex on sen"? Hmm

It's the correct screen. Sensitivity controls the automatic headlight. Light 2 should turn on the automatic headlights when it's a tad bit before dusk. Any trouble codes associated with the sensor?

The Display EX off/on Sen is the setting for the multifunction screen sensitivity. Just like the headlight auto feature, it tells the screen to dim or comes out of dim mode when there is more light, less light, or wait til it's dark or darker.

No trouble codes at all. I assumed it was light 2. Just didn't seem to make a big difference when headlights are in auto mode and when they actually kick on.
