Default What is this leak? Oil pump leak?

Just saw this while i was trying to do oil change. Any idea what this could possibly be? Oil pump gasket? Time to replace the oil pump maybe? Or something else?

Is there any oil residue higher up? Have you tried feeling below your valve cover?

it doesn't look like it's coming from higher up. it actually looks like it's splashing around somewhere at the bottom lol

I hate diagnosing oil leaks

Use some good engine degreaser and clean all of that oil off of the engine/access. Then take it for a drive. When you get back, take another look and you should be able to see where it's originating from.

I feel your pain. I'm in WI and I just bought my 09 the first week of Jan. It hasn't left my garage since because I can't bring myself to drive it in all the slop.

Be sure to report back what you find to add to the knowledge base on this site.

After long hwy drive from LA to SF California, I have noticed dark black oil dripping on the garage. I have learned that leaking came from lower driver control arm bushing. Is there oil in the bushing ??

No oil in the bushing. It came from somewhere above and dripped down onto the bushing.
