Default A/C trouble cooling on hot days

My 2006 GS300 has no bubbles in the freon sight glass, so I feel it has enough freon. On hot days in Lower Alabama we get over 95 degrees and my A/C has trouble cooling. I bought the car used and during my first oil change at the dealership they pointed out that my airbox was broken. It looks like someone forced the door to change the filter without switching to Recirculate. Would this cause the cooling problem?

The system cools really great when it is below about 85.

I did not know if possibly I have the same problem in another thread on this forum titled "

Fixed My Denso Acctuator for the Recirculation and pics taken!!!

which deals with a broken servo arm in the airbox.

Thanks for any ideas.

Sounds like the freon is over serviced

Default Freon Pressures are correct

I went ahead and hooked up my gauges to the system, which I really should have done already, but the Freon pressures are right in line with the temperature/humidity charts, so we can rule that out.

Thanks.

What were your pressure readings?. If pressure reading for hi and low side are normal that means your expansion valve is good. Its getting cold below 85, so condenser and fan are good. Only other thing i can think of is hi pressure switch failing but once again it works while under 85 all the time, which is why i think as it gets hotter the pressures get higher thus triggering the hi pressure cut off. Or you just need a good vacuum to remove all moisture and replace the receiver/ drier.
