Well, I'm ready to lower my 07 GS. I've read quite a bit about Tanabe here, not as much about Tein. Which do you guys prefer, for those that have experience with both or one. I'm not looking to radically drop, just enough to lessen the stock wheel gap. I have Tein S Techs on my Infiniti, and I love them. Would like some helpful feedback, thanks.
I had mine lowered on Eibach springs. Un-matched quality and doesn't settle with time.
However, having said that, I would recommend you spend more money now and get Coil Overs and save your OEM shocks.
I was planning springs only. I don't like the ride of coil overs. several friends have them, a variety of brands and they all suck to me. I want my Lexus to continue to ride like a Lexus, just with a better profile. Wheels are XIX X15, 20x9.5 +32 and 20x10 +40. 245/35 and 275/30

Designo is right, after 1.5 years on tanabe DF210s, my shocks gave up and it rides like poop. Now instead of having to replace the OEM shocks, I gotta resort to tein coilovers. I'll keep you guys updated for that one!
I can't say anything about the others, but I had Tein CST coilovers on my SC400, and they were fantastic. I put around 80k on them with several adjustments, and never once had a single problem. The ride quality was great, but still not as comfortable/smooth as stock. As a company in general, I don't think you can go wrong with Tein.
I've repeated this to multiple users in other threads, but always get ignored when i say get coilovers and not lowering springs.
People don't realize that the labor is more intensive when you doing lowering springs also, compared to coilovers (which in return, will cost you more in the shop too)
Springs are more labor intensive if you don't do the shocks at the same time. I did the Tanabe NF and KYB shocks. Rides better than stock and has a nice stance with my 19s. I don't have the need to adjust the height or dampening on my GS. If I did, I would go coilovers all the way. I had Tein Coilovers on my Acura. Those were a great ride as well.
