I never did. But I helped my friend get one thru my eBay account. It wasn't the EXACT same shade but the color was right and he definitely got what he paid for. It was in a hurry and it did the job well. You can do that and still have it retouched by a paint shop just saying. Good luck buddy!

My bumper has 186k miles of driving on it. The good thing is that it's black, so that might be hard to screw up. How did it fit?

he took it to a nice shop and the guy took his time with the installation. Made sure all screws were put in right and egg the correct pressure. It came out good. But you'll always know the difference in paint. Personally, i don't care. New is new. Your driving a nice lexus, anyone noticing that is clearly a hater lol

No I don't. But if you looking for the best way to get the paint matching just buy the bumper with no color just primed and take it to a reputable shop you trust that paints and get it done added you install bumper. That'll help the color match with the car overall allot better.

I could do that, but I'm frugal & lazy. hahaha

When I went shopping for tires, I called a few local places, and the average price I was getting for mid range tire brands was $860 - $1,100. And not even for Michelins or something like that. After doing some shopping, comparing, etc. I found a local place to get me the BFGoodrich Comp2 A/S for $468 installed. :P

I remember asking about the same thing on the 2GS forum when I had my old GS and a couple people had gotten them and said they had great results and had pics that looked like it matched perfect. Maybe try asking for pics on that forum as well.

I'd recommend eBay for EVERYTHING! Painted bumpers, parts, rims, quality tires. Never failed me. And I'm a meticulous and very financially organized young man. I take authenticity and business with my hard earned money VERY SERIOUS. EBay is definitely trust worthy. And if you're not satisfied you can just return it and get your money. I just sent back a defective package today and they paid shipping and everything. Try the painted bumper. Install it right and you should be good. Take your time installing and reading the steps to the DIY

Got a pre-painted bumper from ebay for my ES330 when my brother hit a deer. Fit was perfect, paint match was about 90%, looks like it could have benefitted from an extra coat of clear, but for $490 as opposed to the $1250 the shop was charging on a 10 year old car whose front end had a bunch of rock chips anyways, I was happy. Been 2 years (not that its that long a time) but the paint has yet to fade or chip and seems to be holding up better to stone chips than the factory paint if I'm honest

Exactly my theory. Soon as they bumper came in you could've taken it in to even MAACO for one thin clear coat for like $70 and it would've been immaculate. Always ways to get the job done quality and save a few pennies.
