Default Crusty outside mirror borders

Happy Sunday everyone...... Does anyone else have this condition? The base of the black plastic border that frames the mirror is all crusty. Sorta like sun damaged plastic.

Maybe its wax build up, you can try a degreaser like simple green and then add a plastic dresser

Thanks but no this is where you can see the inside of the plastic and as you rub a finger nail across the area more plastic particles come off.

My GS doesn't have this condition, however, I have seen other vehicles with a similar issue. Depending on the type of build-up, you could try taking a toothpick wrapped in part of a piece of tissue or something to carefully scrape it off.
