Default Issue w/ new aftermarket replacement headlights

I have a 2008 GS 460. The passenger side bulb hasn't been turning on intermittently mostly during rain. I've noticed moisture gets trapped inside the headlight housing. So I asked the dealer to check it out and sure enough they told me there's a crack in the housing allowing water to enter. I asked them what the labor cost was for the headlight replacement and they told me $250 for 2 hours. I also got another quote from Lexus of West Palm Beach just to compare with the original quote I received from Lexus of Clearwater. Their quote was $225. Since I no longer live in Tampa and am currently residing in Miami, I would let Lexus of WPB swap out my lights. I ordered the Spyder dark lens from DT Moto off eBay for $513. They looked nice and cost a fraction of OEM ones. So it was an easy choice to just replace both since it would only be a matter of time before the driver's side would eventually start to crack. Now they told me it was a 2 hour job but they actually took about 4 hours struggling with the installation. The master tech told me the lights didn't fit very well at all and they basically had to make it work. And then they told me the AFS indicator is blinking. He deduced it to being a defect in the AFS motor so I would have to send it back to get another one. The lights do look nice but the fitment is awful. There's a big gap on the driver's side and also a big gap on the passenger side. So instead of sending the defective light back which would require me having to take my car back to Lexus to have them remove it and reinstalling my old OEM lights, I am just going to return them to get a refund. I don't want to take the risk of having this issue again. There's no guarantee the replacement they send me will fit either. So I guess now my only option is to either purchase new OEM or try to find some used OEM ones that are in good condition. Has anyone had their headlights refurbished? I was thinking that would be a way cheaper option. I was hoping not to spend $2k on headlights as that just seems excessive. But I may not have a choice. If any one has any suggestions, please share. Thank you in advance.

Thanks Sodium. I found brand new ones on carpart for $600 each but without ECU. Is that the AFS motor?

Thanks for the recommendation. I've contacted the seller to see if he has one available.
