Default Front Wheel brake not biting??

Some feedback: Changed front brakes and rotors back in Nov '16. Rotated/Balanced, last month. Tires are about 50%. When I brake, it feels like the brakes arent quite biting and creates a small rattle. Making me worry if the front calipers craps up like some random rear calipers. I checked last week and no signs of leakage. High chances of it happening after raining, but will check again Sunday. Any Ideas what I should look for? TIA

Changed to OEM rotors? Changed the brake fluid? New shims? What brake pads are you using? Applied enough grease to the caliper slide pin? Also make sure you tight everything to the proper torque specs specially the caliper
