Hey Gang,

want to stick to OEM rear suspension

I've done some extensive research on the forum and google and called 3 Lexus dealerships here in SoCal (they tell me I need the whole assembly they don't sell just the shock ,

KYB through email and voice call from a staff member states "KYB does not make a rear shock for the 08 GS450H.

Ive read on the forum and it states that KYB IS the OEM replacement shock I just can't find the correct P/N for the shock for my 08 450h

When i do find a P/N I get mixed reviews: some say it will work some say it won't

I Just need the left & right rear shock/stut. No the whole assembly, no springs no top mount, just the actual shock.

• OEM ID(s) 4853080341. Some websites states this is only for the 300's & 350' but not for the 450h, but some websites state it "will fit"

and sevral ther P/N's found here on the forum

can you guy please asssit me with the correct P/N



if all fails I'll just go to a mechanic have the automobile lifted have them clean off the shouck to find the P/N and take it from there I just don't want to spend money or time to have to deal with that route and wanted to know if anyone here had the answers for me

If you want to the AVS system to work, you'll have to buy the part from Lexus, part number is 48530-80451. You can get them at a discount here, but they still aren't cheap: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts-...GRS191L-BETQHA)

If you don't care about having AVS you can get GS350 shocks from KYB

Sorry, 48530-80454 is the right part number for the 450h (probably because the 450h has more weight on the rear axle than the 350/460 because of the hybrid batteries). It's the same price as 48530-80451 though

As far as I am concern, GS 450h doesn't have aftermarket rear shocks, its true they are made by KYB but exclusively for Lexus and can only be purchased through dealer or resellers

What is AVS and is all 08 GS450h equipped with it? and how do you find out if you have it?

If you have it you will have a sport button on your center console. It is the button all the way to the left next to ect power.
