Default Rear brake pad hardware question

I am having a passenger side rear brake pad hardware dilemma, the caliper have two slider bolts that go through the two pads, those two slider bolts each have very tiny holes that hold a long straight spring. ( I think this spring keeps the slider bolts from working their way out of the caliper.) so my problem is when the piston pushes the pads inward the pads are wedging the long straight spring (look at the first arrow on the left) forcing the spring into the rotor then cutting the long straight spring into halves (arrow 2 and 3) hopefully the photo can explain better than my text description. the pads are brand new and the rotor thickness seems to be correct.

Looks like your 2 guide pins you have them mounted inside out, the flat head of the pin should face opposite side. Buy new clips and flip them!

ibidu1,

thanks, I guess the person before me put the pins in backwards, I had just followed the way I saw it.this makes total sense.

Your clip that you cut off should be facing the other way also. That middle piece next to 3rd arrow should go in that whole in the middle along with the other one. Start by plugging one end to the guide pin, the middle part, then the last end to the last guide pin. Made it a lot easier when I did mines.

You could take a look at the brake setup on other rear wheel to see if its correct.
