Default Car won't start, VSC light on

like the title says went to go to work this morning car turns on but doesn't attempt to turn over. Check VSC on dash, haven't had any issues starting prior to this morning. Seems weird that something would happen like this out of the blue. Any idea what it could be?

By "doesn't attempt to turn over", you mean that you don't even hear the starter clicking?

And was the car parked outside or in the garage?

And I'm assuming you already ruled out a dead battery?

Hate to suggest starter but that was my issue, although I didn't have a VSC light.

Yeah I had it towed to the dealer, it was the starter. Just was weird because I was driving the car hours before and never once had it start weird or take awhile to start then overnight, totally dead wouldn't even crank. Thankfully my extended warranty covered it, new oem starters are almost 700 just for the part. It'll be interesting to see what the total cost would have been, driving a new ES til tmrw.

My starter went on my 300 and it cost $670 at the dealer with an aftermarket part and nearly $250 more with the factory part, I can only assume it's even more for your 460. Sucks, could be worse, I got an RC350 for 4 days as they waited for the part to come in. I know on mine they had to drop the Y pipe which looked like a pain.

Well got my car back, thank God for my extended warranty. The bill came out to $1607 for the starter.
