Every once in a while when I'm driving my low beams go out. So I have to switch to me high beams. Next time I go out they work fine. Any body else have this problem.

 

Sounds like bad HID bulbs, are they the original bulbs?

I would think so. I think it is strange both lights go out at the same time. Then later they both work,

 

I go with servertech, check which bulbs you have inside the headlights, I also had a similar problem with aftermarket bulbs.

 

I had the same issue with just one side.... ended up being bulb

 

This happened to my car, as well, and I ended up replacing the low-beam HID's. This is apparently a common problem on a few Toyota-based products (i.e.: Lexus GS, Toyota Prius, etc.) Also, you may notice that there are a lot of recommendations online to replace the ballast and any other component of the HID system ... This is typically not necessary.

 

Mines went out a couple of years ago, in the same fashion but didn't go on and off at the same time usually one at a time or one stayed on and the other was off. They're light bulbs they're suppose to go out... the 2nd post is the correct one... Man I forgot how expensive they are @.@
