These say they are stainless. The stock ones on our cars stainless?

Also the gasket in the back...is it the same as the two in front that attach to the exhaust manifolds?

Not stainless pipes, just that big can on the back, called a resonator, is stainless steel. Rear gasket is not the same as front, its like $34 alone.

Sorry for double post.

ok so pipes are not stainless...but resonator is. If I go w oem what am I getting besides a resonator?

just trying to parse this out to understanding the value of oem vs the rock auto option.

Did you reinstall the heat shields? Seems these are partially at fault for the deterioration of the pipe. And is there any issue/risk w leaving it off.

Decided to go the least expensive route.

A muffler shop cut out the effected areas and replaced with new piping.

$140 all in. They estimate that it will last 3 to 5 years.

I plan on driving this car until it drops. Might have to do this again...maybe two more times. Still far far less than replacing with an oem part of $1500.

Couldnt find enough information on the davico products to be convinced that it would last beyond a patch.

I'm considering a 2011 GS350 with a rusty exhaust and these solutions are not legal in NY. It could fail inspection (probably not likely, but if they really know what they are doing it is a modified exhaust). They are not listed for an 11 either. I was told the only option in NY is the Lexus part.
