hi! i just purchased an 08 gs350 black/black, w/nav but no ML and love it!! was listed at $11.5k but got it for a grand less...130k miles, will post some pics when i get a chance. like some of you have noted already, the voice commands are somewhat cumbersome. i've actually managed to turn mine off and can't figure out to get them back on. last night while driving home, i live in downtown cleveland, i managed to turn the parking icons on...my screen was so full of blue parking icons i couldn't see anything else. on the plus side, i had no idea there was so much parking in cleveland. go tribe/cavs/browns!! woot...

i have some questions if some of you could take the time. i have some manuals but they really don't go into great detail and i admittedly haven't been able to spend much time with it due to work.

1. how do i get voice recognition turned back on?
2. during navigation mode, the time of arrival displayed is an hour behind. how to fix this? i was able to change the time above the screen to reflect the correct time but haven't found an option for this.
3. is there a voice command for business specific points of interest as opposed to just address? i've seen the PDF for voice commands but it doesn't really spell out how to actually verbalize them. i'd like to be able to say, "directions to chipotle"...or something similar, then be provided options of all the chipotles in the area to select from.
4. i have an interest in getting different rims but not enough interest to pay for them (lol). have any of tried those sites where you take a pic of your current rims and they tell you how much credit they will give you towards others they have? don't know if i can post links and don't want to find out the hard way presently.
5. what does the mode button really do on that drop down console by my left knee? i've pressed it at night and see no difference in either my instrument cluster or the rear-view mirror which, i believe i have read somewhere on here, is affected.
6. any way to transfer my entire phone book from my samsung to the car versus entering individually?
7. have any of you made your car a hotspot? with whom and what is it costing you? is it worth it?
8. whats the best infotainment mod to date? i've been reading about grom and vaistech.

1) No idea, but I would venture to guess thru the Menu button
2) within the MENU button there is a Unit of Measure line which adjusts the speed at which it tracks the car (for navi purposes I assume) Mine is set to 60mph
3) The voice recognition in this car I have yet to understand how to work so I gave up lol
4) What's your price range?
5) The Mode button adjusts the cluster light intensity. Not sure the differences between all of them though
6) No phonebook transfer unfortunately
