Default 3GS Nav Hidden Menu Update

Hello 3GS drivers (or anyone who can help me out),

I'm a bit new to CL and I have made a very bad mistake while I was playing around with my beloved. So the story is that I was looking at some threads to override the Nav unit to enable touch while driving. Doing so I started poking around the hidden menu (Menu>Volume>leftup, leftright x 2) and somehow I pressed "Loading" and saw options for US_BT and I thought that was for U.S. version for bluetooth. Pressed that and now it prompts me with "Please insert correct map disc" and some Japanese underneath it. I've researched for a good two hours now and saw some fixes pertaining to the RX but nothing with the 3GS. Looked around threads and other members say to take it to dealer and replace the entire unit but if possible, I'd rather not since they charge an arm and a leg. Do you guys have any ideas on how to get my Nav / menu buttons working again?

Any help and advice would be appreciated

*Edit: I have 06 GS300 (if that helps)

Thanks for responding. The DVD did not eject and I was frustrated at myself and the system so I ended up taking it to my local dealer. They did some stuff to check the other settings and they were able to eject the dvd (by pressing and holding the top right hand side of the screen) Though after they got it to eject and put it back in, the message was still there, so no luck. ):

They said they would try and contact corporate to see if they have a repair disk that would pretty much reset the nav system for cases like this. I'm thinking this would surely cost me an arm and a leg so any DIY could definitely save me some trouble.

Any other tips, tricks, advice, experiences that you guys may have?

**UPDATE**

Thanks for all the tips. I ended up going back to the dealers today and got the fix done. Interesting experience if I say so myself. They just charged me the diagnostic fee but somehow the they lost my work order somewhere down the line and kept me waiting for an hour more than I was supposed to. SA said that was unacceptable so he just let me walk out and told me he'll take care of the charges.

Tip to anyone playing with fire, don't do it unless you can fix it.

Thanks everyone!

Dang, all these people having great luck with their Lexus dealerships' service departments... Lexus of Bellevue/Seattle/Tacoma, here in WA, would tell me to kick rocks, then tag the extra hour on with a lame excuse. Glad you got it fixed!
