Default Audio not working! no sound

Has anyone had an issue where at ignition start or when the radio is powered on, there is a single speaker "pop" sound the comes from the passenger side door speaker, but no sound out of any of the speakers even at high volume?

I've owned Lexus vehicles For some years now and always find answers to my questions without ever even logging in....except this time. My Gs is completely factory with never any tweaks to the audio. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Sounds like the factory amplifier may be at fault

You may be right. I did notice some members threads with a similar issue but they had some different symptoms. For example, no DSP option and no yellow bar for mid, treble or bass tuning but all of mines still work.

Try disconnecting the battery first that may solve it. If it doesnt then you can try unplugging and replugging the terminals to the amplifier

Might you have pressed the SOS button overhead? It uses the speakers and if not
subscribed it would just remain muted. Try pressing it (again).

That pop noise is a pretty telltale sign of a dead amplifier.

With your vehicle powered in the off position. Push your volume control **** to the left and hold while turning your vehicle to ACC without starting the car.

Holy F-Sport! That worked on my '15 GS350. I couldn't figure out what was going to work but expected a trip to the dealership. Thanks!

SOS buttons are part of the Lexus Enform Safety Connect that was introduced in 2010.
It triggers the 3/4 watt phone (our cell phones are 1/3 watt BTW) that call for emergency services.
In 2016 the SC was upgraded to provide Remote Start and Vehicle Monitor features.

If you act quickly and grab a new GS before the rumored demise of the model...you will have an SOS button.

If you have 2010-2011 models good luck finding an amp that's not $400+/ Had the same thing happen to me.
