HELP! Diag Code PO756 Shift Solenoid "B" Performance or Stuck OFF
My car went into shop for brake sensors that were "fixed". Now after having it in shop, car is not down shifting when slowing down and the PO756 diag is coming up.
Dealer says new transmission....over $4200!

P0756
• Shift solenoid valve S2 remains open
• Valve body is blocked
• Automatic transmission (clutch, brake or gear, etc.)
Replacing the transmission is the "blanket repair". That would fix any issue inside the trans. Sounds like they performed no diagnostic at all. Did you pay for diagnostic time? If you did, ask if they performed an active test on the solenoid and if they checked the resistance of the solenoid. It should be 11 to 15 Ω at 20°C (68°F)

How much did it cost you to replace? My tranny downshifts slow under hard braking so maybe this is also applicable to me....BTW does this throw a MIL?
And see if the problem is the same.
I had the car take to the dealer and they flushed the tranny. But that doesn't change the filter and the service tech says the issue is still there.
