Default Range Approximate is very low.

I have a 09 gs350 awd. After I fill up the tank with premium gas, I get a range approximate of only 227 miles. On a full tank of gas, I get less than the range approximate. I'm interested in knowing what others who owns 3rd gen GSs get on their Range Approximate after fill up. Thanks. Any info is appreciated.

What was the MPG on the odometer before the refill?
I noticed Range Approx is computed by the MPG before the refill multiplied by the tank volume.

If I fill up it will read between 390-420 of range usually.

Idk but I do reset the trip A every time I fill up and the last few fill ups the range approximate was 227 miles. I lose 30-40 miles from full to empty.

I don't even get 200 miles from full to empty. And I always top off. I mostly do city/street driving. I want at least 300 miles on a full tank. Is that too much to ask for from a Lexus? Maybe it's the quality of gas I put use. I only use shell 93 octane

My car is a 2008 AWD...tire pressure at 38 psi cold (approx. 80/20- highway/city).

My range approximate is currently at 197 and my trip A is at 14.7 Started at 227 range approximate when I filled the tank. That puts me at 211.7. I already lost 15.3 miles

If you are accurately getting 227 miles on a full tank , something is seriously wrong. After I fill up it says 345 or something like that. Also average 20-22 mpg city driving. Highway driving goes up to 26 mpg for me.

I even got an oil change last week thinking/ hoping it will help but still getting the same results. I have to fill up every week even tho I drive less than 200 miles a week. This sucks.

I really don't know. Have you replaced the engine air filter ? Check the throttle body to see if it is dirty ? You should definitely take it to lexus to check it out or maybe a mechanic you trust ?

don't run heater at all, works for me,

heater BURN **** ton of gas, i didn't know until i start driving an EV, i end up only 60miles on a BMW i3, then i test it on my GS450h, the engine won't stop running, that's when i know heater is what causing the low MPG.

what i do is, turn heater on and heat seat all the way when you need. when your butt are warm, your interior are warm enough, turn off heater and leave heat seat running. your body heat will now generate heat for the whole duration of your trip.
