Vaistech SL3B Simple/Settings Mode Question

Vaistech SL3B Simple/Settings Mode Question
Has anyone had any luck getting to Settings Mode to adjust the volume? I have only been able to get to Simple Mode. The manual states for both modes that you press the SCAN button 8 times. When I do this I always get Simple Mode instead of Settings Mode. Thoughts?
