I need a close up picture of the inside fuse box immediately next to the battery. if anyone can help i can provide more details of what to focus on. the stuff under the plastic clear cover inside that fuse box is what i want to see.

I have a no start, no radio as a result of reverse connecting the new battery I picked up.

I want to the picture to compare whether what looks like a gap in the silver-colored power rail is actually a common thing or was caused as a result of a current overload.

the item of interest is what Lexus/Toyota are calling a fusible link.

That is supposed to blow in any reverse battery connection, and save the more expensive electronic modules downstream.

Very surprised this has not happened to anyone here yet. It is a very common thing. What is unusual is the location inside a fuse block. I have a 1996 Toyota and this link is on the battery + wiring to the alternator. Makes it much easier to replace, and cheaper, at $18. Lexus wants $159 + tax.

Anyway just thought I would share.
