Default afs flashing... still

I have a 08 gs350 RWD and last winter I got stuck in the snow (chicago) and had to get pulled out.. called a towing company and I guess when he was pulling me out the rear sensor on the control arm for the headlight leveling system got bent.. and afs started to flash..
Since I work for a auction we had a gs350 but it was AWD and I took the rear sensor off and put it on my car thinking it would solve the problem.. and it did for a few hours til I hit a pothole and the afs light came back on.. and it's flashing, tried to take the sensor off and clean it and put it back together and it's still flashing.. and it's getting really annoying with the headlights pointed down and the warning light,

Do any of you guys have any idea of what to do next? Don't want to pay $560 at lexus for a new sensor

Thanks in advance

Is the arm placed/bent in the right direction, try and take it out slightly and swing the arm so it folds in the other direction.
