I am in the process of changing my left Axel and the dealership recommended me to change the Diff oil too because the oil is dirty because I’ve busted a boot wide open and all the grease is coming out and stuff so i went to Advanced Auto to get the Diff oil and gave me 80/90 one but the recommended one is straight 90 would it affect it in any way or is it fine to use that also I’m guessing that we could get the oil at the dealership right ?
85w-90 will work just fine. My recommendation is to use Mobil 1 Synthetic 75w-90, but honestly it doesn't matter. I just changed mine at 80K and it wasn't too bad.
