oil change --
it's time for me to change oil and have some question. I know there's some thread about synthetics VS conventional oils. My car has 135k miles now. I went to lex dealer for oil change last time (I forgot to check what oil they used.) but this time I already made an appointment with local store to do oil change. They told me that they are using Quaker State oil, is this good oil? I believe it is conventional oil. Since it has high mileage (I dont know what kinda oils have been using on my car in history, syn/conv) I think I should stick with conventional oil. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=13636
I already got Toyota oil filter($16 from lex dealer, hmm..)
Question is if Quaker State oil is reliable/good oil(i had been using this oil for my civic) or should I get other brand oil(conventional) myself.
what do you recommend?
another question, how often you guys do fuel injector cleaner and flush fluids? I'm thinking both with oil change since I dont know any previous record(I been driving this car since Aug). thanks

Quaker State is crap. Near the bottom of the heap.
Use Mobil 1, Valvoline, or Castrol. There are racing oils available, such as Redline, Royal Purple, but those are expensive and hard to find.
Oh yeah ... I got my oil filters at the Lexus dealer for $8.99 a piece. Complain about the price a little bit. They'll drop the price.

thanks for quick reply.
I'm wondering if I can use syn blend instead of full syn. like Castrol Syntec Blend, for such high mileage like 130k.
Am I missing something here?
