I own 2008 GS 350 w/90k miles. I actually want to keep this car and my maint. plan should give me the opportunity for 200k+ miles. I have added some f sport options: cold air intake, lowered/springs, exhaust, etc..All lexus f sport parts. This is not a super aggressive car, but you will have fun and enjoy quite ride when you want. My best friend has the 14 gs and we have compared notes and the 08 generation actually gets more positive comments on looks. It is also nice to not have everyone owning the same car, i.e. BMW 3 series...you know what I mean?

Just got my 06 gs430 a month ago w/ 94k miles on it. I LOVE IT... i've been loyal to the toyota family and my previous ride was a 04 toyota tundra that kept on going above 200k !!! Cel was on due to old sensors but man, its kept on going. So adding another 100k to my gs430? Oh yes I will enjoy... cons you asked? That you haven't bought it. Lmao.

Just got an 08 350 as well about 2 months ago, with a hair under 80k on the dial. I got it for a daily driver because I found it to be the best overall blend of what I like - power, comfort, sportiness, awd, and standard comfort features. Lexus quality also helps a ton!

The only con I could say about the car is the audio system. I've never had a car with a factory system so it's taking some getting used to. I do plan to put an aftermarket sub in and continue research on the signal processors that people have installed.

I have a 08 gs350,

Pros:
-Great features
-looks better then the 06-07 models
-Great torque when needed
-Pretty good on mileage on hwy I can get 32mpg
-Great sound quality of the ML except sub can be better..
-Still looks like a new car even tho its a 8 year old car
-Its a Toyota so parts are pretty cheap compared to other brands and you can do the maintence yourself most of the time
-Almost everything is LED
-Its RWD!

Cons:
-Dash Rattle and other rattles that you don't expect from a lexus
-Engine isn't the quietest
-Cant be to aggressive with turns, the rears too soft
-Headlights will turn yellow

that's all I can think of the top of my head hope it helps

I bought my 2008 GS350 back in March and I love it! The only con I've found is the engine knock, which Lexus says is normal on these engines because of the direct injection. Other than that, the car has been great!!

Default Wheel well issues, especially Right Front

Just joined Club Lexus,

Overall, I love my 2008 GS 350 AWD blk/blk, even named her Black Betty. I bought it new in 2008 and just hit 100,000 miles. I've kept it stock and had the recommended regular maintenance performed. In my experience, after market parts for it are difficult to find and aren't cheap.

I've received 2 recall notices so far and the dealership has taken care of those promptly and without a problem.

Does anyone have these problems and know solutions?
-I've always had Dunlop run flats and always replaced them all 4 at a time
-Noticed the Right Front tire wears down on the inner tread faster than I think they should
-I know, on average, cars driven in the US have more wear on that tire.
-Towards the end of tread life it rubs against the suspension or wheel well.
-Especially in Drive while turning left, the rubbing is loudest.
-I think this might be a structural defect or potholes and curb hugging has warped something.

-I'm switching to regular radials this week
-How is the ride better or worse?
-If I put lug bolt spacers on, should it be on all 4? Will this fix the problem or create more?

Thanks in Advance

I went from a 07 GS450h in Dec 2013 to a 08 GS350 in Feb of 2014. The car had about 86k miles on it and now has 98k. I do alot of highway driving for my job. All i've done is had the oil changed every 3k, tires rotated, front end alignment, and rotors resurfaced. I don't have any squeaks and rattles in my cabin. The only problem i have is the brake squeal when i tap the brakes at highway speeds. I find the ML sound system to be decent. The back up camera is good, but i really enjoy the parking sensors. You will get alot of compliments on the car!

I got my 08 Lexus GS 350 in March at 69,850 miles. Besides one Oil change done at 75,000 miles, I have gotten a wheel alignment done, and right now the dealer has recommended I get a new battery (although the old one seems to be working great at the moment), new hood struts because the old ones have worn (at a cost of $300 something) and I need to replace my front left axle because of a leaking boot (dealer quoted me a price of $1800 ). Overall great car, love all the features (esp. the illuminated sills) and I have gotten quite a few compliments. I just happened to hit a rough patch early on in my ownership. Here's hoping my luck changes and I can ride this beauty until the wheels fall off at 200K+ miles

Love hearing all of these things about the GS...I have a process to go through before I can actually buy one (get rid of another car), but hopefully I'll be a proud owner sooner than later.

BlackBetty8: You may want to start a new thread regarding your issues so people can see it, and im sure, you'll get plenty of response/help. This forum is unlike any other car forum I've ever seen!
Good luck!

Default 2008 gs 350

I bought a 2008 GS 350 back in June with 76k and have had no issues. The car drives and handles like new. After 10k only regular scheduled maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation). Great commuter for me and my wife: comfortable, decent gas mileage, top notch technology (got the nav package). Had some issues with interior rattles but was able to track them down and eliminate most. I have been an Audi fan for a long time and this is my first Lexus, couldn't be happier.

Cons:
Sound system sucks.
Rattle from the dash and other plastics parts

Pros:
Everything else.

By the way, I'm driving a 3GS 350 used to be fan of Infiniti.
