TPMS problem
So I recently got an '11 GS350 awd. No issues with the TPMS until today. In anticipation of next winter I went out and got a set of winter wheels with tpms. Yesterday I decided to hook up my new Techstream and program the second set of sensor IDs. When my wife drove the car today the tpms light came on flashing. I thought that meant that one or more senders was bad. Techstream showed four unique pressure readings for set 1 but had an error code for a bad sensor. Holding the learn button under the dash does nothing. I'm confused.
If you have a bad sensor, the light will probably flash.
If you drive away from the set of tires paired with the car, the light will flash.
If your car is equipped with the A/B tires set option, maybe you need to switch to the other set of tires:
There is an A/B switch just below the outside of your glovebox on the left most side. Set A is for your factory TPMS, Set B is for a secondary set of wheels.
The button under the steering column re-initializes the pressure threshold for whichever set (A or B) is in play.
1. Park car, apply parking brake
2. Fill tires to 33 psi
3. Start engine
4. Push and hold reset switch under steering column until pressure warning light blinks 3 times and “Pressure Initial” appears in the display.
5. Take car for a drive. Warning lights will go off eventually.

Ok, I have a theory. It may have been the case that the car was working out of bank B when I got it. Thinking it was using bank A I reprogrammed bank B to my new wheels, thereby erasing my sensor IDs for the installed tires. I'll go to a tire shop and get the IDs read.
