Default What's this noise?

I've got a service appointment tomorrow and the last one before the warranty expires.

Was wondering what this noise was? It wasn't there before, only in last few months. It does sound like the usual pump priming cause it comes on when I unlock the car, but it keeps doing it the whole time after that, even well into the night when she's switched off and parked.

Check out the video

Yeap, there was a topic on this a long time ago.... Too bad I didn't get to come in on time to respond lol...

Was yours normal? Or needing replacement? From what I've been told, a member came to the forums stating that the longer it takes to prime the ABS system, the sooner you need to replace some module/pump/assembly.

Car is at the dealer, let's see what happens.

It's always good to have a video on hand because you need to replicate problems to them and most of the time, the problem cannot be replicated.

I also took a video of my back up camera display not working, I'm glad I had that to show the service advisor.

it is a brake actuator for sure

It is a common problem for most 3GEN GS

They have to replace it otherwise your whole brake system will damaged after while

it is so EXPENSIVE bro

it cost me about 8000 UAE dirhams

take care and we waiting for your good news

best regards

Malik

Mine's the same as worker's.... One time, maybe 3-5 seconds. Never again.

Hopefully they replace it with the no-noise unit! One of our members got a new updated unit system.

Mine also works like Worker described. Once 3-5 seconds upon shut off and never again.....

That one sounds like it keeps doing it over and over.....

glad they are replacing it for you. It is indeed an expensive part...

Hey bro, actually I don't mind posting up my invoice. You can see everything they did to my car along with the prices for parts and labor.

They also gave me back the old pump which is strange because it was under warranty.

For your info boys, 1 Bahraini Dinar = 2.65 US Dollars
